Why the buffer date matters

Most planners give you one due-date column, so the plan and the deadline are the same thing — which means any slip is instantly a crisis. Putting your own earlier date next to the real one does something small and useful: it moves the emotional deadline forward and leaves room for the printer failing, the file not saving, or a day that simply does not go to plan. The explainer page walks you through choosing a buffer that is big enough to help and small enough that you still believe it. It is a scheduling habit, nothing more clever than that — but it is the habit the rest of the planner is built around.

Do the 20-minute weekly reset on the same day each week — that single ritual is what keeps the rest of the system alive.

Because it is undated, nothing expires. Print a fresh set next semester, next year, or for a completely different course. A popular approach is to print the reusable pages (brain dump, daily study, study blocks) once, slip them into a plastic sleeve and write on them with a dry-wipe pen; print the trackers and logs on plain paper so you keep the record.

Is this planner dated? Will it be out of date next year?

It is completely undated. Weekly and daily pages have blanks for the day and date, the semester grid uses week numbers, and the exam countdowns work from whatever date you write in. Print it in September, print it in February, print it again in three years — it never expires and there is no yearly version to re-buy.

Do I have to print all 45 pages?

No, and you should not. Print the set-up pages once, then print the working pages in small batches as you need them. Every page PDF is supplied individually as well as in the full bundle, so printing fifteen copies of just the daily study page takes one click.

Will this work on an iPad in GoodNotes or Notability?

Yes. Import either PDF into your annotation app and write on the pages with a stylus. Note that the pages are not hyperlinked or tab-navigated like a purpose-built digital planner — they are print-first pages that happen to work well digitally.

US Letter or A4 — which do I need?

Both are included, so you do not have to choose. US Letter is standard in the United States and Canada; A4 is standard almost everywhere else. If your printer disagrees with your file, just open the other one.

Is this a treatment programme or a medical resource?
