What you get

This is a Bella+Canvas 3001 unisex short-sleeve t-shirt, printed for you after you order. Solid colourways are 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton in a 32-single, 4.2 oz/yd² (about 142 g/m²) jersey — light enough to wear through a full shift, tight-knit enough that fine lettering lands crisply instead of blurring into the weave. Heather and marl shades use a cotton/polyester blend, and athletic heather is a 90/10 mix. The blank is side-seamed with a tear-away label, so it holds its shape through the wash and there is nothing scratching the back of your neck.

The artwork is applied with DTG (direct-to-garment) printing. The ink is cured into the fibres rather than pressed on top as a vinyl patch, which means the print stays soft and breathable and does not develop the cracked, peeling lines you get from heat-transfer shirts after a dozen washes. On dark garments a white underbase is laid down first so the colours read as intended rather than sinking into the fabric.

The design itself was drawn and typeset from scratch for this shop rather than pulled from a stock library, so the lettering is set at a weight and spacing that stays legible at the actual printed size instead of turning to mush. The print file is supplied at full production resolution, which is why edges stay sharp rather than showing the soft, pixelated halo you get when a small web image has been blown up to fit. There are no licensed characters, brand marks or borrowed quotes anywhere in the range.

Measurements are taken flat and may vary by up to half an inch (about 1.3 cm) between individual items, which is normal for made-to-order manufacturing.

Care instructions

Machine wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle with like colours. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Do not bleach, do not dry clean, and never iron directly on the printed area — if the shirt needs pressing, turn it inside out or place a cloth over the design. Treated that way, the print will outlast the garment.

Almost all premature wear on printed goods comes from heat and abrasion rather than from the print itself: hot wash cycles, high tumble-dry settings, direct ironing, and scrubbing with an abrasive pad. Keep those four things away from it and the design will stay as sharp as the day it arrived. Nothing here needs special detergent, a laundry bag, or any other faff — it just needs to be treated a little more gently than a plain undyed item.

Made to order — what to expect

This is a made-to-order physical product, not an instant download. Nothing exists until you place the order. The design then goes to a print facility, the item is manufactured, and it is posted to your delivery address.

Printify, the print partner, quotes an average production time of 2–7 business days. Carrier transit is added on top of that and varies by destination and by the shipping option chosen at checkout, so we do not advertise a guaranteed arrival date — we would rather be accurate than optimistic. Tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel is collected from the print facility.

If you are ordering for a specific date, allow generous headroom rather than ordering at the last minute. If you need it faster than that, the instant-download products elsewhere in this shop are available the moment payment clears — those genuinely are immediate, and this one genuinely is not.

Orders are picked up from the print facility by the carrier and travel in standard protective packaging appropriate to the item — flat mailers for garments and textiles, rigid tubes for prints, moulded protection for ceramics. Because production and dispatch are handled by the print partner, items ordered together in different product categories are sometimes produced at different facilities and can therefore arrive in separate parcels on different days. That is normal and does not mean part of your order has gone missing; each parcel gets its own tracking number.

Is this a physical product or an instant download?

It is a physical product. Most of this shop sells instant digital downloads, but this item is not one of them — nothing is delivered by email and there is no file to download. It is manufactured after you order and posted to your delivery address as a real object.

How long will it take to arrive?

There are two stages. Printify, the print partner, quotes an average production time of 2–7 business days to make the item. Carrier transit is then added on top, and how long that takes depends entirely on your destination and the shipping method chosen at checkout. We will not promise you a delivery date we cannot control, but you will receive tracking by email as soon as the parcel leaves the print facility, so you can follow it from there.

Why is it made to order instead of shipped from stock?

Nothing is printed until somebody buys it. That means no warehouse of unsold inventory, no end-of-season clearance run into landfill, and every design stays available in every size and colourway indefinitely rather than selling out. The honest trade-off is the few extra days of production time before your order ships.

Is the design original?

Yes. Every design in this range was drawn and typeset from scratch for this shop. There are no licensed characters, no brand marks, and no borrowed quotes — which is also why you will not find it on a hundred other listings.

Will the item I receive look exactly like the mockup?

Very close, with one caveat worth stating. The product images are generated mockups of the actual print file, so the artwork, placement and proportions are accurate. Because each item is printed individually rather than stamped out in a run, slight variation in ink density and in print placement of a few millimetres between items is normal. Screen calibration also shifts colour perception, so expect a close match rather than a pixel-for-pixel one.

What if it arrives damaged or misprinted?

Contact us with a photograph and we will sort it out. Manufacturing faults, print defects and transit damage are on us. Because every item is made individually for you, we cannot accept returns simply because you changed your mind about the size or colour — which is why the measurements above are worth two minutes before you order.
