A graphic tee is the only garment that is also a statement. Everything else you wear says something by
implication; a printed shirt says it in words, to strangers, all day. That is a higher bar than a mug or a
sticker has to clear, and it explains why the tee market is so unforgiving: people will happily put a joke
on their laptop that they would never wear on their chest. The designs that survive are the ones aimed at a
specific tribe, where the joke functions as a password rather than a punchline.
Every shirt on this page is printed to order after you buy it. Nothing is held in stock, which is why the
range is deliberately narrow and design-led rather than a wall of colours and fits.
Who buys graphic tees
Overwhelmingly, people buying for an identity they already hold or are gifting to. Nurses buying for
nurses. Pet owners buying for the person who talks about their dog more than their job. The purchase is
not really about the shirt — it is about being seen and understood by someone who knows the job or the
life well enough to make the specific joke.
That has a practical consequence for choosing: the more insider the reference, the better it performs with
the right recipient and the worse it performs with everyone else. If you are not sure the recipient is
inside the tribe, buy a mug instead. A mug is a
lower-commitment object; nobody has to wear it in public.
Buyer’s guide: what to look for
Sizing, and the one question to ask
Sizing is the reason apparel gets returned, and it is entirely avoidable. Do not guess from a letter — S,
M and L mean different things on every garment on earth. Find the size chart on the product page, then go
and measure a t-shirt the recipient already owns and likes: lay it flat, measure the chest from armpit to
armpit, double it, and compare that number to the chart. That single measurement is worth more than any
amount of guessing about whether someone is “a medium”.
If you are buying as a gift and cannot measure anything, buying one size up is a safer error than one size
down. An oversized tee reads as a style choice; a tight one reads as a mistake.
Print method and how the print will age
These are printed directly onto the finished garment, which is the standard for made-to-order apparel. The
ink sits in the weave rather than as a thick plastic layer on top, so the print is soft to the touch and
breathable — you do not feel a rubbery panel on your chest. The trade-off, compared with screen printing at
volume, is that the print can soften very slightly over many washes. Washing inside out, cold, and drying
on low essentially eliminates this. Ironing directly on the print does the opposite.
Fabric and fit
Fabric weight determines how a shirt drapes and how long it stays looking new — lighter fabric is cooler
and softer but shows wear sooner; heavier fabric holds structure. Fit determines everything else: a
straight-cut unisex tee and a fitted cut in the same nominal size fit completely differently. Rather than
claim a specific blend or weight across the whole range, we list the fabric composition and fit on each
individual product page, because they differ between garments and between production partners.
Colour and contrast
A design built for a dark shirt does not simply translate to a light one. Check the product images for the
colourway you are buying rather than assuming the design looks the same on every base colour.
Materials and printing
Product Material Print method Care Graphic t-shirt Fabric composition listed per product Printed directly onto the finished garment Wash cold inside out; tumble dry low; do not iron the print Sizing Unisex and fitted cuts vary by garment — Check the size chart on the product page before ordering Matching mug Glazed ceramic Heat-set printing onto the glazed surface Dishwasher and microwave safe Matching sticker Printed vinyl film Printed and contour cut Wipe clean; hand-wash bottles
We do not publish a single fabric blend or GSM for the whole range, because the garments differ. The
composition, weight and fit for the shirt you are buying are on its own product page.
Nurse and healthcare worker shirts
Healthcare humour is its own genre, and it is unusually specific: twelve-hour shifts, missed lunches, the
charting, the beeping machines, the night shift’s relationship with sleep. Those jokes land hard with the
people who live them and mean almost nothing to anyone else, which is exactly what makes them good gifts.
They are bought by colleagues for colleagues, by partners who have heard the stories, and by nurses for
themselves as off-shift wear.
Two practical notes for this audience. First, these are not scrubs and are not intended as clinical wear —
they are for commuting, breaks, days off and staff events. Second, buy early for graduation and Nurses
Week; these are the two moments when made-to-order production queues everywhere get long.
Pet owner and dog mom shirts
The pet-gift market is enormous for one reason: people want to be identified by their animal. A shirt that
names the specific absurdity of the relationship — being a professional dog parent and an amateur human —
works better than a generic paw print, because it is a joke about the owner rather than a picture of a dog.
These are reliable gifts for birthdays, adoption anniversaries and the person in the group chat who
exclusively sends pictures of their cat.
Shirts as gifts: what to check before you buy
Gifting apparel has three failure modes, and all three are avoidable. Wrong size — solved by measuring a
shirt they already own. Wrong timing — solved by ordering well ahead, because a made-to-order shirt has a
production stage before it ships and cannot be rescued the night before. Wrong joke — solved by being
honest about whether the recipient is genuinely inside the reference or whether you just find it funny.
If any of the three is uncertain, a mug, a print or a sticker carries less risk for the same money.
Team, department and group orders
If you are buying for a ward, a team or a department, order in one go and order early. Made-to-order
production is per-item, so a batch of fifteen shirts takes longer to clear a print queue than one, and
sizes will vary across the group. Collect actual chest measurements rather than letter sizes before you
place the order — it takes ten minutes and it prevents the entire problem.

How made-to-order works
Everything on this page is a physical product that does not exist until you buy it. There is no warehouse
shelf with your design sitting on it. When your order comes through, the artwork is sent to a production
partner, printed onto a blank item, quality-checked, packed and posted to your address. That is what
“print on demand” or “made to order” means, and it is worth understanding before you click buy, because it
changes what you should expect from the timeline.
The practical consequence is that there are two clocks running, not one. The first is production: the time
it takes to print, cure or press your item and get it boxed. For most printed goods this is a few business
days rather than a few hours, and it stretches during peak gifting periods when every print queue in the
industry is busy. The second clock is shipping, which depends on where you are and how customs treats the
parcel if it crosses a border. We do not publish a single delivery date here because a single date would be
a guess, and a guess dressed up as a promise is worse than no number at all. The individual product page is
where current production and delivery estimates live, and your order confirmation is where tracking appears.
Why this is different from our instant downloads
Most of the Pixquo catalogue is digital. If you buy a printable planner, a wall-art file or a sticker sheet
PDF, the file lands in your account and inbox straight away and you print it yourself. There is no
production queue, no courier and no customs form. That is the right choice when you need something tonight,
when you want to print the same page fifty times, or when you are buying for someone in a country we do not
ship to easily.
The products on this page are the opposite trade. You give up the instant gratification and you get a
finished object: a ceramic mug that survives the dishwasher, a cut vinyl decal, a poster printed on proper
stock, a shirt somebody can wear. Nothing here is emailed to you and nothing here can be downloaded. If you
are shopping close to a deadline, buy the physical item early or buy the digital equivalent instead — the
printable version is genuinely the better answer when the occasion is tomorrow.
What ordering actually looks like
- You place the order and pay. Nothing is printed yet.
- The design file goes to the production partner and enters the print queue.
- Your item is printed, cured or pressed, checked and packed. This normally takes a few business days.
- The parcel is handed to a carrier and tracking is issued.
- Transit time depends on your destination, and on customs if the parcel crosses a border.
Because each item is produced individually, small variations between one order and the next are normal
rather than defects: the exact placement of a design can shift by a millimetre or two, and printed colour
will never match a backlit phone screen precisely. What should never vary is the legibility of the artwork,
the finish of the item or the build quality. If something arrives damaged, misprinted or genuinely wrong,
contact us with a photo and we will sort it out.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right size?
Measure a t-shirt the recipient already wears and likes. Lay it flat, measure across the chest from armpit
to armpit, double that figure, and match it against the size chart on the product page. Letter sizes are
not consistent between brands and are not a reliable basis for a gift purchase.
Will the print crack or peel?
The design is printed directly into the fabric rather than applied as a thick vinyl layer, so it does not
sit on the surface waiting to crack. Wash cold and inside out, tumble dry low, and never iron directly over
the print. Treated that way it stays intact through normal wear.
What fabric are the shirts?
It varies by garment, and the composition and weight are listed on each product page. We deliberately do
not quote a single blend across the range, because that would be inaccurate for some items.
Can nurses wear these on shift?
They are casual t-shirts, not clinical scrubs, and are not designed to meet uniform or infection-control
requirements. They are intended for commuting, breaks, days off and staff events.
How long does a shirt take to arrive?
Each shirt is printed after you order. Production normally takes a few business days and shipping time
depends on your destination, so we do not publish a fixed arrival date. Check the estimate on the product
page, and order well in advance if it is for a specific occasion.
Can I return a shirt if the size is wrong?
Because each garment is printed for your order, returns on made-to-order apparel are more limited than on
stocked clothing — which is precisely why the measuring step matters. If an item arrives faulty,
misprinted or not what you ordered, contact us with a photo and we will put it right.
